TWI worked with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to release a one-day course titled CCDET IV: Smoke-testing Commercial Harbor Craft, designed to help fleet owners to comply with regulations aimed at reducing exhaust emissions from ferries, tugboats, and other commercial marine vessels, operating in California regulated waters.

The course is offered at participating CCDET member colleges, including American River College, College of Alameda, San Joaquin Delta College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Palomar College, and Santa Ana College.
